History
The first LNTPB Algiers Laboratory Branch in Ouargla was created in April 1970, the headquarters were located in a rented accommodation in Beni Brahim in the old city of Ouargla called Ksar.
The staff was formed from a Branch Manager named Mr. ZOUAK, a cooperating engineer, a Secretary and two Technicians.
In 1978, the Branch was transferred to the training school for Highly skilled technical controllers and assistants of TB, currently the Customs School ; this headquarter was used by the technical staff (engineers and technicians). The administrative staff was installed in a rental accommodation in the Abdelkader city. The Branch Manager was Mr. BOURAFA Azzedine ; he was assisted by Mr. ZEKRI Kaddour being the Laboratory Manager.
In 1981, the LNTPB Ouargla Branch was transferred to the new headquarters in the industrial area (current headquarters) by grouping administration and laboratory. The Branch Manager appointed was Mr. SOUILEM Ahmed, being attached to the General Directorate of Algiers.
In June 1981, a first restructuration of LNTPB created LCTP, LTP-EST, LTP-OUEST and LTP-SUD, the Ouargla Branch was attached to the unit of Constantine.
In March 1983, LTP-SUD as a socialist company having an economic nature ; the Ouargla Branch became the headquarters of the General Management headed by Mr. SOUILEM Ahmed as CEO, Mr. DERDAR Mohammed as Technical Manager and Mr. AKRECHE Saïd as Chief Fiancial Officer.
In October 1989, the company became Public Economic, a joint-stock company, headed by Mr. SOUILEM Ahmed, as CEO and whose owner is the Holding Public Réalisations et Grands Travaux.
In 1998, the company was transformed into a subsidiary of the Laboratoire Centrale des Travaux Publics Group (LCTP).
In December 1999, Mr. SOUFI Kamel was appointed CEO of LTPS.
In 2016, it was transformed into a subsidiary of the Groupe d’Etudes d’Infrastructures, de Contrôle et d’Assistance (GEICA).
In March 2013, Mr. KEDAID Laid was appointed CEO of LTPS.
The Ouargla Unit was headed by Mr. BOUBLAL Mbarek from 1985 to 1990. It had four departments, namely, Administration and Finance, laboratory, technicals and car maintenance and drilling.
In 1990, the Ouargla Unit was headed by Mr. ZEKRI Kaddour until 2011.
From 2011 to 2014, Oargla Unit was headed by Mr. BAKELI Babahamou.
From May 2014, the Ouargla Unit is headed by Mr. MOUDJAHED Noureddine.
